The researchers from EIGeS, Andriy Lyubchyk and Svitlana Lyubchyk had a project approved in Pathfinder , a program from European Innovation Council that aims at identifying and supporting breakthrough technologies with the potential to scale up internationally.
The project, CATCHER GA aims to develop innovative technology to exploit the atmospheric humidity for direct conversion to the electricity, thus gain a new sustainable source of renewable energy. The project will be developed in collaboration of highly qualified research and business from Portugal, Belgium, Austria, Spain and Ukraine.
With more than 900 applications and acceptance rate 4%, the project CATCHER GA achieved acore 4,95/5 and it will get financial support around EUR 3 million. Best wishes to the team.
