EIGeS researchers Prof. Sergiy Lyubchyk (Coordinator) and Prof. Svitlana Lyubchyk (Principal Investigator) with Team Leader Prof. José Oliveira Santos participate in the project 101007642 H2020-MSCA-RISE Innovative Water-Soluble Phytomaterial Inhibitors for Alzheimers and Parkinsons Diseases Prevention, Program “PEOPLE” – Call ID “H2020-MSCA-RISE-2020.
Other participating institutions in this project are NOVA id FCT, (Project Leader); Sydansk Universitet, Denmark; SME NEUROPLAST BV, Netherlands; SME NANOTECH Center, Ukraine; and as partners BSU, Belarus; KKSU, Kazakhstan; and RII, Russia.
PhytoAPP’s main objective is to design, develop and produce innovative, water-soluble phytochemical inhibitors for the prevention of Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s diseases.
The role of EIGeS in the project is to study, during the scaling up production process in pilot laboratories, the certifications required by medical authorities, European Directive 91/356/EEC on the rules that manage pharmaceutical products, the basic requirements for facilities and equipment, risk management, quality control of pilot scale production, in order to achieve the manufacture of innovative products, recognized as suitable/relevant nanopharmaceutical for further clinical testing.
