Deep Tech Lab
The Deep Tech Lab, which specializes in nanotechnology, was recently inaugurated (in December 2022) and is located in the Centro Universitário de Lisboa, Edifício D, piso 3. It is equipped to handle research in the field of nanotechnology, allowing for progress in this area of knowledge. It is also where the practical classes of the Nanotechnologies and Nanomaterials course of the Master's Degree in Industrial Engineering and Management take place. In this sense, the main objective of this course is to provide students with knowledge about these new nanotechnologies and nanomaterials and their applications in meeting the challenges of modern society. In class, students have access to equipment such as a 30T pressure machine for preparing porous blocks from nano-powders, a multimeter for investigating the electrical properties of nano-powders and a PVD machine for depositing carbon graphite to create contact in nanomaterials.
